Product Description

Elegant Solitaire Ring is a made-to-order halo ring set with a cut diamond weighing . With the surrounding halo, the ring carries stones and in total, which is why a halo design reads larger on the hand than the centre stone weight alone suggests.

It is made in , and you can choose . All three karats are solid gold the whole way through, never plated over a base metal. 9K is the hardest and the most resistant to the scratching a ring picks up in ordinary wear, 18K holds the most gold so the colour runs deepest, and 14K sits between the two. Every diamond is lab-grown and certified by IGI, and a certificate of authenticity is issued with the ring. If you would rather have the stone standing alone, our solitaire diamond rings use exactly the same metals.

The halo does practical work as well as visual work. Because the small stones sit proud of the girdle of the centre diamond, the frame meets a door frame or a kitchen counter before the centre stone does. That matters most on a cut, where the narrowest points of the diamond are the part most likely to chip.

Each ring is cast in the karat, the colour and the size you select rather than pulled from stock, then set by hand in the workshop where Jebij has made fine jewellery since 1970. Sizes run 3 to 8.5, including half sizes, and a halo wears unevenly once it starts to rotate, so check the ring size chart before you order.

FAQs

What is the Elegant Solitaire Ring made of?

It is crafted in and carries of gold. The metal is solid throughout, never plated or filled, and the centre stone and the halo are diamonds certified by IGI.

How large is the centre stone?

The centre stone is a cut weighing . With the halo included, the ring carries stones and in total, which is why a halo design looks considerably larger than the centre weight on its own suggests.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. A lab-grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined one. It is the same crystallised carbon with the same hardness. The only difference is that it formed in controlled conditions rather than underground, which is why it costs less for the same size and grade.

Does the halo make the centre diamond look bigger?

Yes. The halo extends the sparkling surface outward from the centre stone, so the eye reads the whole cluster as one diamond. In practice a halo makes a centre stone appear around a quarter to a half carat larger than it measures, depending on how tightly the halo is set.

Which ring sizes are available?

Sizes 3 to 8.5, including half sizes. Because each ring is made to order, the size is cut into the piece rather than resized afterwards, which keeps the halo even all the way round. Measure before you order, since a resize on a halo setting is more involved than on a plain band.

Which gold colours are available?

You can choose from , in . White gold gives the brightest contrast against the diamonds, yellow reads warmest, and rose sits between the two and flatters most skin tones.

Is this ring suitable for everyday wear?

Yes. It stands above the finger, which is low enough that it catches on clothing far less than a raised setting, and the halo shields the girdle of the centre stone. It asks a little more upkeep than a plain solitaire, since the small stones collect soap and hand cream, so warm water, mild soap and a soft brush every few weeks keep it bright.
